- Rebuilt Tlantic's demand forecasting system into a modular, configurable solution, improving preprocessing pipelines, statistical transformation and production-grade monitoring, so it could flexibly adapt to any client's needs

Modeling Engineer Fellow Researcher
PT SMART RETAIL: Portugal as reference for the new generation of autonomous and smart retail – development, demonstration and industrialization of technologies to support a new generation of retail, in partnership with MC Sonae.
The work led to my master's thesis, a peer-reviewed research article, and a second article based on the thesis, currently under review.
- Developed modeling systems using Simio to analyze flows in supermarket intralogistics operations
- Performed data cleaning and preparation for analysis purposes
- Reduced product throughput time by ~81% and warehouse WIP by ~85%, while bringing ergonomic risk indices down to acceptable levels
- Developed dashboards to visualize KPIs and support prescriptive decision-making by recommending optimal scenarios based on operational efficiency and ergonomics trade-offs
- Worked with cross-functional teams in an agile environment to plan, monitor and implement Lean-based processes and equipment
